- A registration form must be completed in full and signed along with a non-refundable £50 registration fee, before a place at nursery can commence. This must be completed within five days from the prospective visit to Piglets.
- A confirmation letter and receipt will be sent along with a parent pack to be completed, and a parent information pack.
- Fees must be paid in advance on the first of every month. Your account will be divided into twelve equal monthly payments. (unless an arrangement with management is made with regards to sessions) We are open 51 weeks of the year and closed bank holidays. Term time only option is available when your child is eligible for their funded hours and management will verbally agree with each individual family if children are not funded. Each month is divided into 4.25 weeks to enable equal monthly payments.
- Children in receipt of government funding will be charged at an hourly rate and invoices will be calculated over weeks, with additional costs I.E. extra hours and food.
- Should the fees of your children’s place be in arrears the manager will notify you in writing? If arrangements have not been made to settle the outstanding account the manager has the right to terminate that place.
- Fees will not be refunded for any periods of sickness, holidays or days absent from the nursery; this includes children in receipt of government funding. Please notify the management team of holiday dates as soon as possible and ring the first day of illness or on occasional days off, this is to calculate kitchen numbers and for safeguarding purposes.
- Should you require to increase or decrease the number of days your child attends, written notice is required, and you will receive written confirmation and an amendment to your invoice. One months’ notice is required in writing if your place is to be terminated.
- The nursery manager will try to contact the parents of the children who are absent without notification. If no contact is made for a period of four weeks the child’s place will be forfeited. Parents will still be required to pay for the four weeks’ notice period, and previous day’s absence.
- We will try to accommodate any requests you may make for additional sessions and/or extended hours of childcare.
- ‘Dress for mess’ – the children are required to engage in messy play, protective clothing will be supplied but we cannot accept responsibility for damaged clothes or belongings.
- Nursery hours are:- Full day 730am – 600pm &
Half days 730am – 100pm or 100pm – 600pm.
There will be a surcharge of £25 per half hour or part thereof outside stated nursery hours. This includes all the hours stated. We will try to accommodate different hours as requested by parents, which are viable to the setting and are not normal nursery hours
12. We will adhere to the principles of the General Data Protection regulations 2018 when collecting and processing information about you and your child. We explain how your data is processed, collected, kept up to date in our privacy policy notice which is given to you at the point of registration.
13. We will treat your child with the utmost respect and dignity; we will never use or threaten any type of punishment that could adversely a child’s wellbeing.
14. We comply with the requirements of the early year’s foundation stage and Ofsted registration in regards to the childcare service we provide for your child.
15. We will provide you with details of our policies and procedures which outline how we satisfy the requirements of the EYFS in everyday practise and we will notify you as and when changes are made to our policies and procedures.
16. We maintain appropriate insurance to cover childcare activities.
17. We will try to make a place available to any of your other children; however we cannot guarantee that a place will be available.
18. You must notify us immediately of any changes to the information you have provided to us and keep us informed of any other necessary information that may affect.
19. The parent pack contains permissions which include medicine consent and emergency treatment authorisations which you will need to complete prior to your child attending.
20. If we have to take the decision to close due to events or circumstances beyond our control (e.g. extreme weather conditions or water). Fees would still be payable for subject to the time scales involved. If forced by higher authorities to close the setting, we will endeavour to take each individual family circumstance into consideration. When considering fees.
21. If you have any concerns regarding the services we provide please discuss them with your Childs key person, if these problems are not resolved to your satisfaction please contact the manager. Customer satisfaction is paramount and any concerns/complaints will be dealt with in line with your complaints policy.
22. We take videos and photographs of the children who attend, for their development records, these are stored on the settings ipad/computer and deleted once uploaded. We would only share images of the children for facebook, marketing with parental consent.
23. We reserve the right to refuse to admit your child if they have a temperature, sickness and diarrhoea or a contagious infection or disease on arrival at our setting, or to ask you to collect your child if they become unwell whilst in our care, in line with our policies.
24. Whilst food and drink is provided on the premises we are not a commercial kitchen and we will try our upmost but may not be able to cater for the individual needs of every child. As cross contamination cannot be ruled out a risk assessment is conducted for children with any known allergies. It is our usual practice to provide both a meat and vegetarian option. Every effort is made to follow the recommended food preparation guidance and to ensure that all staff involved in the preparation and serving of food are suitably trained.
25. Any personal information that is supplied to us will be collected, stored and used in accordance with the principles of the GDPR regulations and our confidentiality and client access policy. We will ask consent where we need to share information about a child with any other professional or agency. We are required by law to override your refusal to give consent only in specific circumstances where the child or someone in the family maybe in danger we do not share that information.
26. We may suspend the provision of childcare to your child at any time if you have failed to pay any fees due.
27. If the period of suspension for non-payment of fees exceeds one month, either of us may terminate the agreement by giving written notice, which will take effect on receipt of the notice.
28. We do not support the exclusion of any child on the grounds of behaviour. However if the childs behaviour is deemed by us to endanger the safety and wellbeing of your child and or other children and adults it may be necessary to suspend the provision of childcare whilst we try to address these issues with you and external agencies as appropriate.
29. During any period of suspension for behaviour related issues we will work with the local authority and where appropriate other welfare agencies to identify appropriate provision or services for your child.
30. We can immediately end the agreement if; you have failed to pay your fees, breached any obligations under this agreement and you have not or cannot put right that breach within a reasonable period of time after we have drawn It to your attention. You behave unacceptably as we do not tolerate physical or verbal abuse or threats towards any staff members.
31. It may become apparent that the support we are able to offer your child is not sufficient to meet his/her needs. In these circumstances we will work with you, the local authority and other welfare agencies as per our procedures to identify appropriate support, at which point we may end this agreement.
