Staff at Piglets are recruited on their personal qualities that they can bring to the setting. Staff undergo an induction process which includes a four month probationary period. Our ratios are maintained at all times as required by Ofsted. Ofsted who also require that over half of the staff are qualified to level 3. We exceed that with 75% of our staff holding NNEB’s, diplomas and CCLD 3&4 and Degree with the remainder of staff currently studying at college.
All staff at Piglets are experienced with working with children within a childcare setting and have enhanced CRB checks. They all hold first aid and food hygiene certificates as well as regularly updating training needs.
Our staff are very approachable which enhances effective communication.
When it is time for your child to go to school and they only do half days, then we can pick your child up from school and bring them back to Nursery where their cooked meal will be waiting for them. Your child can then stay until you finish work to pick them up as usual.
Security:
Security at Piglets is of the highest level. The premises have coded security locks to the nursery entrance that no unauthorised person can gain access to the nursery. Staff are trained not to release a child to anybody other than the identified parents/carers. Piglets have a security policy if an unidentified person attempts to collect a child from the nursery.
